As part of the UNICDA Sostenible program, our undergraduate and graduate students participated in a lecture given by the Environmental Educator Technician of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, Ms. Ana Luisa Lugo, which aimed to promote the importance of acquiring a transformative culture towards economic, social and environmental sustainability, a point supported in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development of the United Nations General Assembly.

In this talk, the students had the opportunity to learn about the different forms of environmental pollution and how they are generated. It culminated with the importance of reforestation as a strategy to promote a culture of sustainability in students.

The meeting was also attended by our Academic Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Laura Reyes; the coordinator of Tourism and Hotel Business Administration, Ms. Alejandra Brunet; the Coordinator of Systems Engineering and Software Engineering, Mr. Carlos Núñez; the Coordinator of the Specialization in Information Systems Administration and the Master in Business Administration, Mr. Francisco Felipe, and the Head of Student Orientation, Ms. Lucía Zimbrón.
