Within the framework of the project for skills building in public administration for the construction of climate resilience in key sectors and services for the population, the Diploma in Project Formulation, Analysis, Evaluation and Management was formally closed. This program was coordinated by the Consejo Nacional para el Cambio Climático y Mecanismo de Desarrollo Limpio (CNCCMDL) along with the Ministerio de Economía, Planificación y Desarrollo (MEPyD), and was sponsored by the Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo (AECID). The Universidad Domínico Americano (UNICDA) was responsible for delivering the program to a cohort of 30 participants from more than 10 public and private sector institutions who received 140 hours of training in project design and management skills. The closing ceremony was presided over by Mr. Max Puig, Vice President of Consejo Nacional para el Cambio Climático y Mecanismos de Desarrollo Limpio, together with Ms. Clara Aquino, of Bilateral Cooperation General Director of the Ministerio de Economía, Planificación y Desarrollo. They were also accompanied by Mr. Esteban López, Program Manager for the Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo; Mr. Alan Ramírez, Technical Director of Consejo Nacional para el Cambio Climático and Mr. Ramón Sosa, Universidad Domínico Americano’s Chancellor, host entity and responsible for the execution of the program. Our institution is honored by the trust placed in us for the design and execution of this training program. Among the entities whose personnel received training are the Ministries of Energy and Mines, Industry, Commerce and Mipymes (MICM), Environment and Natural Resources, Public Health, Economy, Planning and Development (MEPyD) and Foreign Affairs (MIREX), as well as the Central Bank, Propagas Foundation, EcoRED, Banco Popular Dominicano, National Energy Commission, Sur Futuro Foundation, Argos, Participación Ciudadana and the CNCCMDL.
