With great enthusiasm, our university held its welcome ceremony, in which it received its new students for the September-December 2022 term.
Through this meeting, the students had the opportunity to learn more about the academic authorities of the university, as well as the facilities and benefits they have for belonging to UNICDA.
The welcoming remarks were given by the Chancellor, Mr. Ramón Sosa, and the Academic Vice Chancellor, Dr. Laura Reyes, who also took the opportunity to talk about the institution and present the support team that will accompany the students during their academic life at the university.
During the ceremony, the Mixed Choir of our institution, under the direction of Professor Viterbo Peña, performed the anthems of the Dominican Republic and the United States, as well as other songs from their repertoire in English and Spanish.
The meeting was also attended by Ms. Kamairys Guzmán, Head of Admissions; Laurisia Concha, Head of University Registration; Ms. Lucía Zimbrón, Head of the Student Orientation Unit; Mr. Erasmo Taveras, Coordinator of Student Life; Ms. Karina Taveras, Coordinator of Outreach, Social Projection and Extension; Ms. Karlans Camacho, Coordinator of the Continuing Education Unit and the Teacher Development Center; Ms. Ligia Henríquez, Coordinator of the Bachelor’s Degree in English for Teaching; Ms. Alejandra Brunet, Coordinator of the Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism and Hotel Management; Mr. Carlos Núñez, Coordinator of Systems Engineering and Software Engineering; Dr. Alexandra García, Coordinator of the Master’s Degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language; Mr. Francisco Felipe, Coordinator of the Master’s Degree in Business Administration, as well as administrative and academic personnel from other areas of the institution.
